DenKnits 3.1 The Usual and The Designer

Finished Objects

• TreLiz handspun cowl - Through Thick and Thin seemed to work great with a bulky thick and thin handspun!
• Mitts for son - made it up as I went out of Great Lakes Handdyed in a beautiful grey

Spinning

• Wonder Why Alpaca Farm batt spun thick and thin bulky plied with a Uniquely Yours SW BFL braid spun fingering; left over BFL was navajo plied on itself; I think these may look nice knit with my Beyond the Fleece handpsun
• DaizieKnits Polwarth/Tussah blend was a great spin!  I credit Jennifer :-) Spun consisitent, thick single and 2-plied it on itself using a center pull cake

Works in Progress

• Lake Ave Cowl - found my size 8s and did a few repeats!  North Cabin Fiber Crafts yarn dyed for Knittin' in the Mitten
• Rock Around - cowl design similar to my Rock On hat, kntting with North Cabin Fiber Crafts
• Liverpool Socks out of Dyeabolical Yarns - have to be knit at select times so hubby doesn't see... need to figure out sizing
• Asymmetricowls - working on a turquoise Punky Chunky
• TreLiz poncho design - Tsunami colorway from TreLiz
• 3-5 cardis for Darn Good Yarn - Firecracker done, working on Chiffon Ribbon, Kaleidoscope Banana up next

Elizabeth from Dark Matter Knits podcast and designs reviewed Kate Atherly's new book 'Pattern Writing for Knit Designers' which I decided I needed to get immediately and I also asked her for other suggestions especially about sizing designs.  She told me about Shirley Paden's book 'Knitwear Design Workshop' so I got that as well!
